RIBS JAVA UI BUILDER NOW AVAILABLE

Dallas, TX - November 2, 2005 - ReportMill Software, Inc. today announced the release of Ribs - the ReportMill Interface Builder for Swing.

Ribs is the only Java UI builder that makes Swing development easy. Ribs does this by providing a powerful and easy interface to UI design and by offering a clean and simple separation between data and the UI. Ribs offers these advancements over existing solutions:

• Simple drag and drop of UI components
• Absolute positioning with dynamic layout guides
• Powerful "Springs and Struts" layout manager
• Simple XML description of UI
• Simple reset of UI from a data model ("Ribs Unified Accessor Model")
• Simple response handling from UI
• "No side-effect" UI updating

Ribs was used to implement not only itself, but also the ReportMill Java report designer application and the PageStudio page layout application.
